War: Are not superior beings already amongst us? Invisible, conquering ones, implacably applying to all of humanity the dictum “divide and conquer,” (which some of us have thought to make our own, not realizing that it comes from elsewhere). Wouldn’t this merely tend to discharge man of his ultimate responsibility?
Or would war be a living thing? A creature which is born, nourishes itself, breeds, has offspring and dies. But always sows its seed before expiring.
